longer battery life with other servo
#1
As said before in this thread, the switching from the recommended HD-1501MG to the LF-20MG servo (both from PowerHD) is a big improvement.
Here a some figures, after riding it a couple of times until the battery was drained:
With the LF-20MG, the first "battery-low" flashing LED warning was after 240 kilometers. Then after 280 kms, it flashed after every gear change. After 305 kms, the battery was completely drained and the servo wasn't able to pull the cable any longer.
To compare it to the HD-1501MG: first battery-low sign after 80 kms, battery drained after 110 kms or so.
As far as I can tell, the little extra cost of the LF-20MG is worth every cent!

Great to hear. I'll be testing the LF20MG and if I get the same result I'll give the manual and component list an update so it'll be recommended to others too.

Awesome ... I already added the LF20MG in my LibreOffice spreadsheet "Shift4Me-basic-components.ods", see Extend Shift4Me-basic-components sheet pull-request.
Jan, please inform me after you updated your list or you can change my pull-request directly when you have a github account.

I've added the LF20MG to the components list and the basic build manual (download section)
